I’ve been thinking about my career path and I have always known that nursing was never 100% the thing I absolutely wanted to do…
I just do it now because…its the only plan I have. But I’ve always wanted to be in ministry and well I don’t know. I just want to work in a ministry… I wanted God’s work to be my life and when I look at nursing it almost feels like how Sarah convinced Abraham to have a son with the slave woman, the human way to make things work, when God promised a miracle.
I don’t know I’m just sharing cause I’ve been thinking about it a lot and its been eating at me. I don’t know what to do about it. I guess I’ll just keep praying.
About an hour ago I went upstairs to get shoes to take out the trash. I haven’t come back down yet.
Sometimes I see people sugar coating a message from God, or seem afraid to say anything without affirming “but He loves you, and that is why it is better for you”.
Never forget the love God bears for you. But if someone can’t accept your message because it isn’t sweet to their ears, how is that your fault? If the message is from God, say it as God told you regardless of how people respond. As He says,
And you, son of man, do not be afraid of them or their words. Do not be afraid, though briers and thorns are all around you and you live among scorpions. Do not be afraid of what they say or be terrified by them, though they are a rebellious people. You must speak my words to them, whether they listen or fail to listen, for they are rebellious. Ezekiel 2:6-7
But if you do warn the wicked person and they do not turn from their wickedness or from their evil ways, they will die for their sin; but you will have saved yourself. Ezekiel 3:19
We share the love of God in the act of telling people they have sin in their lives, as Ezekiel 3:21 goes on to say, “if you do warn the righteous person and they do not sin, they will surely live because they took warning and you will have saved yourself.
God’s love is powerful and amazing, but God also is just and His discipline is as much an act of love as His blessings, do not be afraid to tell people what they need to know without having to sugarcoat it. God means what He says, and sometimes He wants you to say something that scares you, but He knows you can, and what you need to remember is it is important to do things His way. Do it His way and watch the mysterious ways that He works.
